The Force or Vorce Genealogy"Decendents of Matthew and Elizabeth (Palmer) Force, m. 1667, of Gravesend, L.I., 1669-1671; and living on Broadway, New York City, 1675-1678. Their four sons were: Benjamin, of Wrentham and Dorchester, Mass., and Woodbridge, NJ, clothier and mill owner; Serg't Thomas, of Westchester, NY and Woodbridge, NJ; Serg't Matthew, of Queens County, NY, and Woodbridge, NJ; and Mark, of Wrentham, Mass. Also, decendents of Obadiah La Force, a Huguenot, of New York, and Essex County, NJ. He was b. 1691; d. 1789; m._________ Manning, of Huguenot descent. (Assume latter statement means Vosburgh was also researching the La Force descendents--no indication of a tie between the two names. CTF)
