Notes:
The Howe Genealogies by Daniel Wait Howe list Nahum Ward as the son of William Ward and Hannah Brigham. There is more detail in the book.

Daniel Howe, Martha's father, born about 1658, married Elizabeth Kerley (not Kerby), daughter of Capt. Henry and Elisabeth (White) Kerley on 6 October 1686. He was a Selectman and large landholder in Marlborough, and died on 26 April 1718. They had seven children; Martha was the first.

Daniel is the first of 10 children of Abraham How of Marlborough and Watertown, MA and Hannah Ward, daughter of William and Elizabeth Ward, married on 26 March 1657 in Watertown. They moved to Marlborough in 1661. His will is on record and listed in the Howe Genealogies.

Abraham How may have come from Devonshire, England.

The Howe Genealogies, Boston 1929, are in two volumes. You want the volume for Abraham Howe of Roxbury, James of Ipswich, Abraham of Marlborough, and Edward of Lynn. It is available for purchase from Higginson Books.
