INFORMATION: From Correspondence with Mary Sue White (Dec 96) 180 Ocean Drive, Gun Barrel City, TX 75147: States in information copied from book "Young Family Genealogical Notes: Manuscript in the Virginia State Library Archives, Richmond, VA; that Francis Young is also shown to be Francis Cadet. He was from Niort in Poitou France. His will is dated 28 dec 1712 at Parish of St. Mary Magdalen, Bermondsey, Surrey (England). He married Marie LeGros (see her notes). INFORMATION: From Delna Powell. He is said to have been born in England in the 17th Century and is believed to have lived in Bristol. Had at least two marriages. and is said to have had seven sons. He and several of his sons were killed in the battle of Blenheim, Bavaria 13 Aug 1704. This information conflicts with that above stating he was of Niort, in Poitou France. BIOGRAPHY: He was from a long line of Loyalists and English Cavaliers loyal to the King of England. MARRIAGE: First to Martha LeGros who died probably when son Michael was only a year old. Married 2- a woman unknown. DEATH: He died at the battle of Blenheim, and was probably buried at Blenheim, Bavaria. Records documenting the dead of this battle have yet to be identified if indeed they do exist.
