                   William Roberts in 1816, petitioned, as son of a soldier, for land in Wakefield, West of St. John River. He also petitioned in 1825 praying that the sum of 36.1.8 pounds may be granted to him...duties...consumed by fire on the 11th day of February last. And he petitioned again - "Petition of William Roberts merchant, 10 Feb 1826, pray that the sum of 64.18 pounds may be granted him, being for articles furnished for the repairs at Government House." William Roberts sold his store and dwelling house in Queen Street, Fredericton, in 1830, to John M. Wilmot and John Wishart, merchants, for one thousand pounds, and he conducted business in St. John. Death - Notice of deaths in newspaper dated 2 May 1862, stated: Mrs. Lucy Ann Roberts, eldest daughter of the late Jedediah Slason of Fredericton (York County) died Wednesday 24th, age 67.
