5. After the death of his father-in-law, Richard Ward, John Fletcher came to
     America with his wife & mother-in-law, Joice Ward.  They went to Watertown,
     Mass. abt 1635, then to Westersfield, Conn. before 1637 where they had a
     homestead.  At the close of the Pequot War, he moved to Milford, Conn.
