                   1. Richard Webb, the immigrant ancestor, came from Dorset, Eng. to Cambridge,
     Mass. in 1626, thence to Boston, where he was made a freeman in 1632. In
     1635 he removed to Hartford, Conn.  He settled in Norwalk, Conn. in 1650,
     & then to Stamford, Conn. in 1655.  He died there 1 Jan 1676. He was a
     deputy in 1655.  He md. Elizabeth, sister of John Gregory.
