3. Daniel was kidnapped at the age of 8 and sold as an indentured servant in
the New World.  He was bought by a Mr. Wordsworth, a farmer in Conn.  The terms
of the indenture were: Mr. W. was to teach Daniel to read and write, and at the
age of 21 he was to have his freedom and two suits of clothing.  This
information comes from a grandson who wrote about it.
