Robert Allyn is committed to the prison for shooting John Pelton in ye right arm and breast his right arm is cut off near his shoulder to save his life. This happenned near Groton, Conn. Joshua Hempstead was a lawyer, stone cutter, quite a man. He defended Allyn in court and Allyn had to pay Pelton 500 pounds to pay for his cure and all charges.
