William Lincoln CROGHAN

                   William Lincoln  Croghans mother died before he reached Maturity and his father ran away when his brother and sister died of pneumonia in a lumber camp.  Link was left with an old preacher at Jingo Miami Ks,near Linn Co. line.  He was courting Sophia in 1893 when they migrated to Oklahoma,but they returned to their home area later..  Sophia died of congestion and chills after running a fever for a week. "Link" married 2nd  on 23 Feb 1902 Julia (Reed) Norton, the widow of John Norton whose sister Laura B. Norton married Walter Twogood.  they raise cora Norton,Links three children and had six children by this union.  William Lincoln died Jan 17,1953,at the age of 86 yrs.and 22 days and left at that time 24 grandchildren and 14 grt.grandchildren.  He is buried  at Oak Lawn Cem.La Cygne.
