Hhe fought in the Revolutionary War, attaining the rank of sargeant. He mar- ried Lucy Robblee whom had come to Lnaesbouough with her parents from Phillips Patent in Dutchess Co. NY. He went to New Haven in 1788. His wife made the journey the following spring on horseback, carrying her 6 week old baby, Lucy. In 1913, his house still stood. He was a member of the Congregational Church in New Haven.
