After living in Baltimore many years in 1899 married Daniel Utz, then 60 years of age, and widower, having a son and daughter.  After their marriage Rebecca built a house on the York road a short distance above the old cemetery near Hanover.  They were Lutherans.  Rebecca was remarkable for her religious activities.  She often accompanied her pastor, Rev. Mr. Metzger, to the village where he preached.  She survived Daniel and was over 80 at the time of her decease in 1914.
