Notes:
Eva was divorced from Garfield Mair in 1903. Her son Marvin Harvey, of that marriage, married Grace Alexander. They had three children; Marvin Lee Harvey, Jr., Jack Roy Harvey, and Lila Harvey. After many years of marriage, Eva and Edwin Heineken divorced. She then was married 23 May 1930, to William Henry Holmes, a farmer, who lived west of Atchison. He was the son or Mr. and Mrs. James Isham Holmes. She was his third wife and her third husband. About 1931, Eva was living with her daughter in Kansas City, Kansas. A divorce suit was pending in the district court of Wyandotte County. Worry over domestic troubles and a general decline in health, were the incentives for William H. Holmes taking own life, by strychnine, at the home of his son James R. Holmes.

On 15 Sep 1934, Eva remarried Edwin Heineken. She was a member of the United Brethren church at Oskaloosa, Kansas. Ed and Eva lived on route 1, Nortonville. I remember Aunt Eva as quite a large woman. She was a good cook. In November of 1960, she had a heart attack and lost about 45 pounds. In the spring of 1961 she had several blood clots in her legs and trouble getting around. She had a goiter, severe gall stones and developed diabetes. She died that summer, in Jefferson County Memorial Hospital at Winchester.
