    Theodor's christening record at Hueddesum on SLC FHL film #1258463, was very hard to find. It was at the bottom of a page and out of sequence. He was christened as Dierk Wigand Schrader. I find that Dierk is another name for Theodor. We know this was the correct record because we first found his birth date written above the place of his father's residence of Hueddesum, on his marriage record at Wohldenburg. His marriage record also gave his father's name and occupation, and mothers name. SLC FHL film #1258490.
    It appears that Theodor was in the military in 1810 as a Chaffeur carabinier Jaegerbataillon Kassel. They lived at Baddeckenstedt when the first two children were born, and those children were christened at Wohldenburg, Hannover Province. Before their third child arrived, they had moved to Oelber, in the Province of Braunschweig (Brunswick). The three children born there were christened at Grasdorf Parish, which is over the line in Hannover Province. Theodor's occupation, when they lived at Oelber, was Sylvani. I believe that means forester or woodsman. The last two children were born at Baddeckenstedt and christened at Wohldenburg. It is possible that the family moved again, and there may have been more children. The Grasdorf Catholic Church records are found on, SLC FHL film #1258448.
