Barton Weaver LYBARGER

                       Esther and Barton went to California in 1926 with Barton's parents. They lived in Los Angeles and Alhambra. She worked at the Cudahy meat packing plant. They were still there in 1928. When the parents moved back to the middle west, they moved back also. She has always been a very friendly, social person, with many friends. She is small in height. Esther loves birds, especially red birds. She has quite a collection of them on plates, pictures, etc. She enjoys gardening, sewing and fishing. She has always canned her own fruits, vegetables and fish. She and Barton made a few trips to California by car. She lived in Kansas, California and Oklahoma, living at Grove, Oklahoma in later years with her first husband. Her father, Ed, lived with her there four years, until he died. She visited family in Kansas in Nov. 1974. We visited Esther at Grove, Oklahoma in 1981.

    After she married Willard she lived in Anderson, Missouri, Rt. 2. We visited them there in August 1994. Willard was a widower and married first to Hazel. He lived on a farm and raised cattle. He owned a small country church and parsonage near the home and there was Bible study on Thursday nights. They expanded the house and remodeled it. They always had a nice garden and loved to share with friends and neighbors. In 1998, Willard fell and broke his shoulder and they needed to be in a care facility at Anderson, Missouri.
