1. Two William Wingfields were transported to America, one in 1651 and one in 1668.  There was also an older William Wingfield who obtained eprmission from Parliament to leave England in 1642.  This family consisted of William Wingfield, Gentleman, his wife, his mother, and three children.  He was known as William Wingfield and "impecunious" Gentleman [poverty stricken or destitute].  This family was being moved from parish to parish (probably for support) in Essex County, England.
