Died @ 39 years in Malta.
"Frances the Beloved Wife of Edward Emerson Lieut.1st Battn.8th The Kings'Regt.
     Born on the 29th of May 1829, at Dublin.
     Married on the 1st of February 1849, at Launceston, Tasmania.
     Died at 8.50A.M. on the 9th of March 1867, at Malta.
     Interred in the Chapel Strada Della Vittoria Malta, in a new
     Vault immediatly under the Altar of our Lady of Sorrows.
     Beloved and Esteemed by all who Knew her, for her piety, faithfulness   to her Husband, motherly care, attention and love she paid at all
     times to her three Children, who are now left ot mourn her loss.

     O' my Jesus in thy heart I wish to live, I long to die.

                  Jesus the very thought of thee
                  With sweetness fills my breast
                  But sweeter far thy face to see,
                  And in thy presence rest.
