Kirkpatrick, Columbia, Maryland. tbkirkpatrick@home.com BIRTH: Born Heinrich Funck in either Holland or Palatinate Abt 1690 IMMIGRATION: Arrived in Philadelphia by 1718, lived in Germantown and,in 1719 settled at Indian Creek, Franconia Twp, Montgomery Co. PA. Saidto have arrived with best friend Dielman Kolb, who landed 10 Aug 1717. Often confused with another Heinnrich Funk who arrived in 1717 andsettled in Lancaster Co, PA. (See Francis Funk pp. 16-20) LAND: 20 Dec 1718 land warrant to Heinrich Funck of Germantown for 1013/4 acres on a branch of Perkeawming Creek. Later buys adjoining tracts.Total 201 acres. Also 166 acres "of ye Mannor Lands on ye upper part of a branchof Perkyoming", prob part of Perkasie Manor, Hilltown Twp, Bucks Co, PAwilled to son Henry. PROBATE: Will filed in Philadelphia in Will No. 274, S427 dated 13June 1759. Translated in A.J. Fretz pp. 13-20 and Frances Funck pp. 41-47 OCCUPATION: First Mennonite Bishop in America; religious author and, translator, operated grist mill on Indian Creek, Franconia Twp, PA BURIAL: Delps Cemetary. (cited in P.Brown article). On 24 Sep 1783 Henry inherited 166 acre farm from father (MontgomeryCo, PA estate papers) in Hilltown Twp, Bucks Co, PA. Lived there until 1786when he and entire family (expcept Jacob) moved to VA. Settled 1.5 miles West ofSinger's Glen, near Little North Mountain, Rockingham Co, VA. This land laterpurchased by his Joseph Funk's son John Funk (A.J. Fretz p 306) in 1975 wasowned by John's son Joseph Earle Funk (D. MacAllister p. 48).
