Capt. Anthony Eames was born in England about 1592. He married prior to 1618 and lived in the parish of Fordington St. George from 1618 to 1631. He was a church warden in 1622, 1627 and 1631. He came to Charleston, Massachusetts, 1634. Removed to Hingham, Massachusetts, 1636, and later moved to Marshfield where he resided, 1653 to 1661. Deputy in the general court for Massachusetts Bay Colony 1637-1638-1643. Deputy to the General Court for Plymouth Colony 1653-1658-1661. Was a captain in the militia in 1644-1645, and a member of the Council of War, 1657. He died, 1686. Married Margary____________. Children_____
