George Bunker drowned. The Gen. Dict. by Savage states that George Bunker, the
first of the name in America resided at Ipswich, Mass. He was the son of
William Bunker, a French Huguenot, who fled to England to avoid religious
persecution to which he was subjected in France. The original spelling of the
name is "Bon Coeur".
