William Brewster of the Mayflower married 1st wife name presently unknown and
had a son who died 20 June 1609 in Holland?
The town of Brewster, Barnstable, Mass. was named in honor of Elder William
Brewster. Bradford's Hist. of Plymouth says - Elder William Brewster bore arms
with the rest. He partook with them of labor, hunger and watching. His bible and
arms being equally familiar to him. Always ready for duty or suffering to which
he was called. The good Elder fights as he prays. He was chosen Elder of the
church while Pilgrims were in Lyden H.

William Bradford, born 1589, a hopeless orphan was befriended and virtually
adopted as son of the Brewster household.
