                   Hannah and her five children came to America June 8, 1841 on the Ship Denmark, landing in New Orleans, LA.  She then traveled up the Mississippi by steamboat to meet John at Keokuk, Iowa.  Hannah and john had one more child, Edward Rueben. His father died before his birth
2nd marriage did not last, he took her money, some of her property and she was left to depend on neighbors to help her.  She filed and received the first recorded divorce in the state of Iowa.  Hannah divoced John Mansell on June 14, 1845 and the story goes that her friends and neighbors tied him to a raft and sent him down river.
