Tombstone noted above in Maple Hill Cemetery says ADAM RAIL, DIED FEB 6, 1890, AGED 75 YRS 15 DAYS. 6 Feb 1890 Adam Rail sells land to Rebecca his wife.

He had 2 daughters lived in NY state. 1920 census living in Lewisville, Jefferson, Idaho as a servant.age 67 listed as single

Marriage date from Microfilm Copy of Van Buren County Marriage Records showing handwritten original Marriage License and Certificate of Marriage. License issued January 24, 1881 for Samuel Rail and Sarah E. Kimmel. The certificate says that on the 27 day of January 1881 at "residence of Mrs. Kimmel" Samuel Rail and Sarah E Kimmel were joined in marriage by E.J. Pike, Minister, M.E. Church. A different record shows that at time of marriage Sarah and Samuel were both residents of Lick Creek Township and both were born in Iowa. His parents listed as Adam Rail and Rebecca McCarl. Her parents were given as Henry Kimmel and Sarah Nup. Witnesses listed as Stewart Rail and Emma Gould. Family Bible in possession of Ellis Clark Rail shows death date as March 2, 1936.
