died at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn June 3, 1907 aged 50 yrs and nineteen days(obituary) Sshe came with her parents to Olmsted county, MN in 1869 and was united in marriage to John Shay Aug 5, 1883 Two sons were born, Ralph dying when a little over a year and three months old. Mrs. Shay was an esteemed and highly respected lady and all who enjoyed the priviledge of her acquaintance...The funeral was held from the home at Zumbro Valley Farm June 10, Rev. W. J. Robinson officiating, and remains laid to rest in the Pine Island cemetery.
