William Case WICKHAM

                   The information listed on the family page of this Wickham was received from Ruth & Archie Albert Wickham in 02/2000.  She says she has marriage licenses documenting this information.  Due to the fact that I found the following information in the Gladwin County Clerks's office, I am keeping this information...it has to connect to our family somewhere.  I'm sure that the county clerk's office personnel didn't make it up & I know I didn't.  There must be another Archie Wickham, we are not aware of at this writing.

"This marriage information and parental information about a Archie Wickham was found by Carrol J. (BEARUP) Martin at  the Gladwin County Clerk's Office, Gladwin, Michigan on August 03, 1998.
Archie Wickham b. 1896,  m.January 15, 1916,  Fannie Teeple b. 1856 in Gladwin, Michigan
   It was in Book 2 page120.

Fannie was 60 years old at the time of Archie's marriage to her according to the marriage license.  She had been married twice before.  He had no previous marriages.  They were both from Gladwin County.  They were both born in Michigan.  Their occupations were listed as "farmer & domestic".  Her mother and father were listed as unknown.  His father was listed as William Wickham and his mother as Myrtle Guernsey.  The marriage was performed by J.H. Cornelius, clergyman.  Witnesses were William Wickham & Pearl Grey of Beaverton, Michigan.

Archie Wickham b. 1896, m. October 06, 1934, Ella Smith b. 1912, in Beaverton, Gladwin County, Michigan

The following information was found the same day as above but in Book 2 Page 202.  Ella Smith was Archie's second wife who he married when he was 39 years old.  According to the license he was from Gladwin Twp and Ella was from South Boardman, Kalkaska.  Their occupations were listed as "farmer & housewife".  He was married once before, but she had not been previously married.  Her parents were listed as Glen Smith & Bella Conkey.  The marriage was performed by T.L. Jordan, minister of the Methodist Episcopal Church.  The marriage was witnessed by James S. ______ and Bessie ______both of Beaverton, Michigan."
