years.  He and wife Elizabeth living in the home of Wm Broadwater 65 and his
wife Rebecca 56.  [possibly Elizabeth's sister]

He bought the MT Washington Tavern (Inn) and surrounding lands, 306 acres,
at Farmington, Fayette Co, PA. on 29 Nov 1856.  Fort Necessity and the Great
Meadows are located on these lands.  The fort had been built during the French
and Indian wars by then Col Geo. Washington.
                  

                   AGE: 1850 census of Allegany Co, MD, item 32 lists age as 50 years.  A
laborer, born in MD.  His wife Sarah 47 and Elizabeth Wale 73, both born in VA.
Children: Mark, 24, m; Henry 19, m; Martha, 17, f; Ormond, 15, m; Godfrey, 12,
m; Joshua, 9, m; Constantine, 9, m; Ann R, 6, f and  Mary L, 5, f.  Innumerated
