Survivors include three step daughters,nine step g/children and several step great g/children, two sisters Mrs.Fay Meeker of Cranston and Mrs. Clinton (Mary) Hafner of rural Letts.Burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery near Cranston Iowa.

Notes from obit; She was the daughter of Tom and Bessie (Strabala)Kneer. She had lived in the Cranston Iowa area most of her life. MissKneer married Jim Smith in 1928 in Muscatine he died in 1950. OnNovember. 7, 1942 she married Leo Brookhardt. They owned and operatedthe Brookhart general store in Cranston Iowa for the last 20 years.Surviving are her husband Leo two daughters Mrs. Harold (Vivian)Wingerter of Muscatine, Mrs. Charles (Joan) Johnson of Langdon ND, twobrothers Ted Kneer and Jack Kneer both of Muscatine, a sister Mrs. Albert(Lela) Gundrum of Muscatine, 9 g/children and one great g/child. Burialwas in the Oak Grove cemetery near Cranston Iowa.
