Guy Lincoln Slayman, of Williamsport, Route Two, died yesterday morning
at the Veterans Administration Center, Martinsburg, after a long illness
aged 38 years.  Before his illness, he had been employed for 18 years at
Fairchild Aircraft Division.  Mr. Slayman was a member of the Church of
the Brethren, the Home Builders Sunday School Class, William D. Byron
Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a charter member of the
Dixon-Troxell Post No. 211, American Legion, Funkstown.  Surviving are
wife, Pearl (Stotlemeyer) Slayman; son, Larry Eugene, at home; mother,
Nannie (Kendle) Slayman; brothers, Edward L., Hagerstown; George K.,
Williamsport; Robert L., with the armed forces in Germany; John W.,
Hagerstown; Elvin, Hagerstown; Eugene R., Hagerstown; William A.,
Maugansville; sisters, Mrs. Ralph Bartles, Miss Elizabeth N. Slayman and
Miss Nancy C. Slayman, all of Hagerstown.  The body was taken to Rest
Haven Funeral Chapel, where friends may call.  The funeral will be held
there Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Dr. DeWitt L. Miller.  Interment
will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.
