Earl Trumpower, 70, of Rt.3, died Thursday at Washington County
Hospital. Born in Clear Spring, he was the son of David Trumpower and
Grace Slayman Trumpower. He was self-employed as a farmer all his life.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and was a member of
the Men's Bible Class. He was a member of the Washington County Farm
Bureau. He was also a member of the Wilson Rurtan Club. He is survived
by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Tosten Trumpower; one daughter, Mrs. Betty
Fuss of Maugansville; two sons, Maurice Trumpower of Rt. 3 Clear Spring
and Leon Trumpower of Rt. 2 Hagerstown; three sisters, Mrs. Jane Brewer
of Clear Spring, Mrs. Helen Forrest of Myersville and Mrs. Doris Karlie
of State Line, Pa.; two brothers, Wilbur Trumpower of Maugansville and
Harold Trumpower of Waldorf; and eight grandchildren and four great
grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul's
United Church of Christ with Rev. Stephen Robertson, assisted by the Rev.
Larry Fisher, officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. There
will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson Funeral Home.
