His death certificate (according to Diana Egan) says his father was
Jacob. Yet in the 1880 census John is shown living in his household and
he is stated at "father."
Diana also says Alfred Arthur was "unofficially adopted by Charles and
Sarah."
Otto Younkin's Notebooks say: that Charles never had any children, and is
buried in Washington state,.
