d.20 Sept 1930 in Powellsville, Fayette Co.  Buried, Imel
Cem.Springfield, Fayette Co.  (This is where I want to look for Hannah
and perhaps Peter.  She was married to David Harbaugh.  Maria's death
cert. says her parents were PETER WHIPKEY & HANNAH CRAMER.  I first
found Magdalena in 1850 census living with Daniel Burkholder &
Catherine nee Cramer in Milford Twp. Somerset. She was about 14 yrs.
of age. I later learned that Catherine nee Cramer was her aunt, d/o
Christian Cramer.  There were 3 Peter's in 1850 census, none of them
the age to be father of Magdalena. As it turned out, one was the Peter
G. and the other Peter C.  The 3rd Peter was 17, I believe, living
with a family other then his. It's only a guess, but I've wondered if
this could be another child of Peter & Hannah. (tell you why later in
message). I didn't see a Peter in 1820 census in Somerset but there is
one in 1830. I figure this could be our Peter.  None in 1840 nor is he
in 1850.  At the time, I was only trying to locate Magdalena and I
did not do all the Whipkey census nor did I note the family the young
Peter was with.  Also, I did not carefully check census index for any
variations of Whipkey, which I would have normally done. I found
Magdalena right away and had no time for more.  I plan to go back and
do all the Whipkeys in 1850 again as well as recheck indexes.
Traci then sent for Magdalena's death cert.where we learned her
parents were the ones we were hoping for as Hannah is the grandaughter
of Adam Cramer, Revol.

Joshua b. 4-2-1844 Lexington, Somerset Co. PA. m: Leah Tinkey had 13childrenAndrew,Laura,Stanley,Susanna,Noah, Almeda,William Harvey,JohnM.,A. Marchal,Sallie, Sophia May,
Berton Nelson,Delia, the family move to Sabetha, KS. Nemaha Co., in 1879and then my Great grandfather Berton Nelson move to Palm Dale, CA andthat is where he is buried.
