                   JACOB4 IMEL (HENRY JR.3, HENRY SR.2, IMEL1) was born June 19, 1836 in Fayette Co., Pa, and died November 03, 1913.  He married MARY JANE STEYER April 05, 1860, daughter of ABSALOM STEYER and JULIE BRANT.  She was born February 22, 1835 in Somerset Co. Pa., and died January 09, 1913.

Notes for JACOB IMEL:
	Jacob accompanied his father to Carroll County, Illinois, in 1864, and lived nnear Fulton, Illinois. But in 1871 he returned to Fayette County, Pa where he lived until his death. He was living at Indian Head, Pa when his brother James died in Illinois in 1913. He was listed in the 1880 Soundex as living in Saltlick Twp., Fayette County, Pa. His will is dated March 7, 1910 (Will Book 18, Page 35, Fayette County, PA.)
	In his Will, his wife Mary Jane was to have the home and care provided by sons, if she survived her husband. The sons, Absalom and Jacob H. were to pay each "dauter" $500 for the home farm. Daughters named were Julia, Sarh, and Mary. Jacob resided in Saltlick Twp. at the time of his death, where he bought land in 1875.
	The 1880 Cennsus lists Jacob in Saltlick Twp. He is age 43; Mary Jane is 45; Julia Ann is 17; Sarah Amanda is 15; Absalom is 12; Mary is 7. Visiting them at the time is Henry Imel, Jr. from Nebraska, Jacob's father.

                   Mary Imel was given a vase by the Rev. Michael Earhart when he preached at Donegal, PA in the Mt. Zion Lutherahn CHurch.  He ws the grandfather of Amelia Earhart, the famous flyer.  Amelia's father also attended this church.
