Mary Slayman, 82, formerly of 133 N. Mulberry St., died Sunday at Avalon
Manor Nursing Home.  Born in Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of William
and Mary Grosh, and the widow of Perry Slayman.  She had been employed at
Hagerstown Shoe Co. for over 25 years.  She was a member of the Lutheran
Church.  She is survived by daughters, Betty Henesy of Tacoma, Wash.,
Kathryn Fulton of Miami, Fla., and Helen Downs of Downsville; a son,
Victor A. Slayman of Hagerstown; 13 grandchildren and 12 great
grandchildren.  Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.  The Rev. Martin L. Rothenberger will
officiate.  The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home,
415 East Wilson Blvd., on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.
