       In the 1850 census, Freeland W. Rose was living in Lincoln count y.  He was
a farmer.  His real estate was valued at $1600.  His children were Ph oebe Rose,
age 21, Herry age 18, Catherine 15, Thomas P. 11, Jane 10, John 5, an d Victoria
2.  Herry, Catherine, Thomas and Jane had attended school during th e previous
year.  In the 1860 census, Freeland Rose was still farming in Lincol n county;
he was living in Chantilly in Monroe township;his wife had died.

       Other records show Herry's name to be Horace.
