As a boy he helped his father on a farm. At 16 years of age, he served atwo-year mission working on the erection of the Manti Temple. Later heserved a three- year mission in the San Juan area. Then he worked at theHole in the Rock and hauled wood to Pioche, Nevada, earning money tofinance his three year mission in England. While in England, George metHarriet Marie Drewery. George returned to Salt Lake City, April 8, 1893.Harriet Marie Drewery Migrated to Utah with other converts. She andGeorge were married June 21, 1893, and made their home in Buck HornSprings, Utah. In the fall of 1900, they came with their four children to the Big HornBasin where they lived in Cowley and Lovell 21 years. George was SundaySchool Superintendent and Harriet was a counselor in the Relief SocietyPresidency. The family moved to Salt Lake City in 1922 where George drovea dray wagon for the City. Harriet made three trips to England. The lasttrip, at 66 years of age, she did missionary work 12 months. She also didordinance work in the temples. check his death date.
