Culpeper County, Virginia Deed Book C, p 642-644 This Indenture made this Thirtieth day of Janaury in the Year of our Lord Christ one Thousand seven hundred and sixty two Between Michael Kafer of the Parish of Brumfield in the County of Culpeper and Colony of Virginia of the one Part and John Weaver of the Parish County and Colony aforesaid of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Michael Kafer for the Natural Love and fatherly Affection which he hath and doth bear for his aforesaid Son inlaw John Weaver and Barbary his wife the Daughter of the said Michael Kafer and for and in Consideration of the sum of five Shillings in Handpaid to him the said Michael Kafer the receipt whereof he the said MichaelKafer doth hereby Confess and Acknowledge himself Satisfied Contented and paid Have Given Granted Bargain'd Sold Enf__'d[?] and Confirmed unto him the said John Weaver and Barbara his wife one Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the Fork of the Rapadan and Robinson Rivers and Contains by Estimation one hundred Acres be the same more or less and is Bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at a White oak and two red Oaks Corner to George Utz in aline of a Patent formerly Granted to the aforesaid Michael Kafer for four Hundred Acres of Landbearing Date the fourth day of June one Thousand and seven hundred and twenty six and runing thence with the line of the said Patent North Ten Degrees East to a white oak Corner to the said Patent thence with Another line of said Patent North Sixty five Degrees West to a red Oak Corner in said Patent, thence North fifteen Degrees East to three red Oaks Corner to the aforesaid George Utz jun'r thence with the said Utz Line to the Beginning together with all Houses Outhouses Gardens fences Meadows feedings ways Waters and Water Courses and all and Singular the Profits Commodities Hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging in or anywise appertaining To have and to hold the above mentioned Tract of Land and premises with the appurtenances unto him the said John Weaver his Hiers and Assigns forever and the said Michael Kafer for himself his Heirs and Assigns the said Land and premises with their and every of their appurtenances unto them the said John Weaver and Barbara his wife shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents. The Last will and testament of John Weaver Sen deceased wasexhibited into Court and proved by the oaths of Adam Utz J and William Wilson two of theSubscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded and on the motion of JohnWeaver one of the Executors therein named Certificate is granted him for obtaining aprobat [sic] thereof in due form. Whereupon he qualified and gave bond and Security accordingto Law.
