Further research is needed to determine accurate information and ancestry of Lewis McKeachie Grants biological parents.
Not sure of the reliability of information obtained so far. Some sources state that Lewis Mckeachie Grants birth name was John McKeachie. Not sure when his first name was changed to Lewis, possibly same time he was adopted and changed his last name.
We have tentatively gathered information that Lindsay Morrison McDonald died soon after Lewis was born and that William McKeachie then married a Sarah. William, wife Sarah, and son Lewis then immigrated to America on the ship George W. Bourne: Departure - 23 Jan 1851 from England; Arrival - 20 Mar 1851 in New Orleans. We then find that William McKeachie died in St. Louise from choleria.
He married Elenora Meacham Noble 30 Oct 1876 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah . Elenora Meacham Noble was born at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah 24 Sep 1859 daughter of Joseph Bates Noble and Loretta Sylvia Meacham .
