Nathan Stanley Pitkin moved to Ogdensburg,N.Y., where he built up a
large stove and foundry business, in connection with which he had a bell
foundry. The writer noticed that the bells on many ofthe boats, on the
lakes and the St. Lawrence river, were cast by Nathan S. Pitkin of
Ogdensburg, N.Y.
