He was a city policeman in the city of Detroit for thirty years. He was
single during his later years and died in his home. He had built the home with
wood cut off the farm property. Subsequently a grand nephew has purchased the
farm and lives in the home which is next to his grandfather's home and farm[Lee
Marshall]. He was a graduate of Hillsdale High School and had attended the
University of Michigan and Hillsdale College. Funeral services were in
Litchfield, Michigan.
