                   Note:  Ancestral File and Pedigree Resource File list Beckham Ramey as George's father.  Information from Joyce Berry states that George Ramey's father was Gilbert Ramey, not Beckham Ramey.  Apparently much incorrect information for this line was submitted to the Ancestral File.

Note:  Erroneous information states that George H. Ramey was divorced.  He was not divorced, however, and lived with his wife until he died.

Further information from Joyce Berry states that the Bartons lived in the same area.  All wound up in Rusk, Texas.  They took a barge from Georgia to Texas.  Cholera broke out on the barge and about half the passengers died.  Gilbert, George's father, may have died on the barge.
