                   Note:  Francis Batten signed the list of donors in the First English Bible of Gloria Dei Church, Swedesboro, New Jersey, 1739.  Bible now in the hands of the Gloucester County Historical society, Woodbury, NJ. (Bible Records, Gloucester Co. Historical Society Public., p. 1)

On 13 May 1761, Francis Batten and seven others, were appointed to determine and fix the boundaries of the several townships in Gloucester Co. (Ref. Gen. Mag. NJ, Vol 15, p. 56; H.J. Hallett, Cheesman Comm., Gloucester Co. Hist. Soc.)
