Notes:
                   Richard Cheesman was a cooper, miller and yeoman by trade, as well as a plantation owner. In 1728 became a justice of the peace.
Served in Col. Thomas Farmer's New York Militia.
Purchased a 484 acre plantation known as "Christianity" from William Thorne, Gloucester Co.
On 26 Sep 1726, Richard purchased 93 acres in Gloucester Twp., and settled there.
