                   note; Patrick Henry Aldridge was born in Caswell Co NC , he was age 36 in
1860.,(from the 1860 census of Harelson Co Ga) he died in 1883 in Harelson
Co Ga.. He married Three times,the first time to Flora Ann McBride 21 Jan
1847 in Campbell Co Ga, married second time to Elizabeth H Dameron of Caswell ,
bond date 6 March 1860 , married 7 March 1860 in Caswell Co. NC..
married third time to Lucinda Gains Johns 6 Dec 1868 in Cleburne Co Ala.
Note; Patrick Henry Aldridge had one Child by Flora Ann McBride before her
death. She died probably soon after her child was born because she is not on
census report.. Her Child was name James William McDonald Aldridge. Henry as
he was called , let his child be raised by his father James Aldridge Jr and
Isabella.. patrick Henry left a Will in Harelson Co Ga.. He died of Cancer on
his face..  information also on these families from 1850 census of Harelson Co
Ga. Patrick (Henry) was living with his father James Aldridge Jr in 1850
census. Also information from Mrs Barbara Aldridge Curry ,107 West Central Ave
Petal, Miss.. 39465.   Will of Patrick book A, Page 50,51,and 52, Harelson Co
Ga. wrote 2 Feb 1883.. probated by his wife LG Aldridge, 7 Jan 1884..

                   note; John Dickinson Aldridge was age 32 in 1860 census of Harelson Co Ga.
he married Mary Ann Reid 4 Feb 1850.. He was killed when Sherman marched
through Georgia,, He was born in NC...  information on this family was from
the Book , Brotherhood of Man, by McPherson Page 13.. also the family Reg
Bkitelghman /Tillman , The Brotherhood of man is in the library in Athens Ga,
on college campus.. John D Aldridge enlisted 4 March 1862 Captured at Vicksburg
Miss 4 July 1863 and Paroled there 6 July 1863 took oath of Alegence of U S..
Gov , Louisville Ky and released 26 June 1864 (note this may not be the above
John.  John D Aldridge was on the settlement of the estate of James  Aldridge
Jr deed books Harelson Co Ga . Mary Ann Reid Sold her part of the estate..
                  

                   note; Thomas Jefferson Aldridge was born in NC, from the 1850 census of
of Carroll Co Ga ,  he was age 19.. He died in 1st Manessaas 21 July 1861 in
Va while in the civil war.  he was in Co F , 7th inf Reg as a private.
                  

                   note; Joseph Aldridge was age 16 on the 1850 census  of Carroll Co Ga. no
more is known of him.
                  

                   note; Lewis M Aldridge was born in NC accoring to the 1850 census of Carroll
Co Ga, age 14.. He married Nancy H E Bryce in Carroll Co Ga 17 Jan 1866.
They were sealed 5 September 1995 at Provo temple..
                  

                   note; Sidney Graaves Aldridge was born in Carroll Co Ga he was age 11 in 1850
census of Carroll Co Ga.. He died in Winston Co Ala.. He married Theodecia
McCalman 9 May 1878 ..  Source of information for him and his family..
Tombstone at Barnett cem Winston ,Ala , Sidney is buried there.. The 1880
census of Harelson Co Ga gives his age as 41 born in Ga.. lic number from
marriage in Carroll Co Ga is 134  page 67..   Book E, Mar Book 1877 Carroll

Iraa B Speer was the son of James Jackson Speer and Emily Wesley Davis Speer
Sidney Sold his land Harelson Co Ga and then bought land in Winston Co Ala on
Sipsey River..  note; Sidney Graves Aldridge didn't marry Mary Ann Weir or Wear
but had a Child by her name Lizzie.. information on this is from Sherry
McCaghren ,415 union Muscle Shoals Ala 35661 by correspondence with her

This was told to Richard Aldridge by Lois Aldridge Miller on the 2nd of July
1991. Lois is the daughter of Sidney Lee Andrew Aldridge and the granddaughter
of Sidney Graves Aldridge and Theodocia McCalman Aldridge...Theodocia McCalman
and Sidney Gravees Aldridge marriage was arranged when she was a baby.  Sidney
was teaching school somewhere in Harelson county Georgia. It was at a school
function Sidney told Marion McCalman that he was going to marry his daughter
who was a baby in his arms at that time.. Sidney said Theodocia was the most
beautiful baby he had ever seen... So the marriage was arranged at that time.
Marion from that on began to save for her dowery.. Sidney and Theodocia started
dating when she was fifteen year old.. Theodocia said she never dated alone,
some of the family was always in the parlor while they dated or courted.. She
said she never called him by his given name, She always called him or reffered
to him as Mr Aldridge or after the children came along as the children father.
Sidney was 23 years older than Theodocia.   Lois remembers ashing her
grandmother Theodocia,"if she loved him when she married him", She replied I
respected him when I married him.. She said she always knew the marriage to
Sidney was her destiny, and that he was always good to her.. Theodocia said
that Sidney came to Alabama, in Winston County to buy land because it was so
cheap ..  He bought the land for 50 cents an acre.. He bought 5 sections  of
land and planted a big orchard on it.. He built a home for his family and they
moved to Alabama in Winston County on Sipsey River..
Sidney Graves Aldridge bought all of the land of his brothers and sister in
Harelson Co, Ga , which was the estate of James Aldridge Jr .. After that
Sidney maved to Alabama... Mrs Peggy Burnett has the desk of Sidney Aldridge.
It has been remodeled but it is now in good condition.. It is about 3 1/2 feet
high, top is about 18" square.. It has been said that someone stole his money
out of the desk, this desk was seen by Richard Aldridge..

She was not married..
