dec on or about 15th day of Nov 1899... William Joseph Aldridge was in the
Civil War as a conferate soldier, he was concripted in caswell Co NC at age 34
3 Nov 1863 for the war , paroled at Appomatax, Va at the court house 9 april
1865... William Thomas Aldridge was age 15 when grandfather Joseph Aldridge
died and he knew Personally allof h is grandparents Except William C Donoho ,
because they lived in the same community. He was 24 when grandmother Nancy
Miles Donoho died.. On Nancy R Miles census record 1850,page 356 it states
Nancy Donoho age 30 and born in Caswell Co NC .. Elizabeth was age 13 as a dau
of Nancy Miles Donoho .. Daniel Thomas Aldridge witness that his father,
William Thomas Aldridge knew his grandmother Nancy Miles Donoho.. In
Yanceyville NC,courthouse ,Caswell Co has in marriage bond book William Joseph
Aldridge Married to Elizabeth Donoho 6 Feb 1856, page 3 .. There is a personal
Knowledge William J Aldridge is the father of these children listed because
Daniel Thomas Aldridge know that his mother Hulda Ann Page Aldridge knew him.
also Ira Aldridge and Mary Elizabeth(Mammie ) knew him because they said they
