cemetery for the birth and death of husband and wife.. Will of James Hicks
book 1,page 106, 107 in Alamance Co NC in Superior court record mention
Elizabeth Somers and his daughter.. Marriage bond of Boston Hicks says , Boston
Hicks married 15 Nov 1855, Alamance Co NC.. Alamance Marriage Register located
in State Archives in Raleigh NC from 1854 to 1868 Vol. 7  number 2   No Cr 1.
601.1...  1870 census of Alamance Co NC, Boston Somers age 50 , Elizabeth age
42, James age 13 and peter age 10..  Mother and father of Boston Somers from
the Scott family... Death book 1, page 176 states that Elizabeth Hicks Somers
was born 23 Nov 1828 and died 14 June 1914 in Caswell Co NC. (note difference
in tombstone and death record).. says wife of Boston Somers  and daughter of
James Hicks and Sarah Stalcup.. Birth place of Sarah - NC, and father NC...
informant was Margaret Hicks Somers grandchildren, Claude G Somers of
Burlington NC   also Mrs Grace Brannock says Sarah Stalcup is correct.. Mrs
Floyd Scott also says that Sarah was a Stalcup..
