                       Source: There is confusion as to which children came from which of the two wives of Samual Steele.
    1st wife: Sarah Campbell (Probably died or divorced bet 1730-33)
    2nd wife: Margaret Fulton
    Both wives were from VA and both are listed as born (abt 1713) but family records of Lula Arnetta Christian (Thomas) show that one child, LT. James Steele, was born of the 2nd wife.  It seems evident that all children listed in MRIN 16 (Samuel Steele/Margaret Fulton) are from this marriage.  This is supported by my (Glenn H. Thomas) family records.  No IGI data for ordinances were found so submitted BEP in 1991.
    On May 5, 1992, however, I (Glenn H. Thomas) received a Patron notification from The Genealogy Department of the LDS Church, that stated the BEP ordinances were done for Samual Steele as follows: B:19 Feb 1977; E:19 Feb 1977; SP:19 May 1977. All done at the temple with ID of "BO" (Boise Idaho?)

                       Resided near Philidelphia, emigrated to Virginia before the Revolutionary War.  Moved to Orange County, North Carolina for a short time.  Came back to Bath Co., Virginia.  Birth places children reflect these moves.
