NOTE:  John McCabe's family were Methodists. He helped build the First Bethlehem Methodist Church, and lived near this church.  John was a Tax Payer in Bedford Co., VA in 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840.  He owned several tracts of land in Staunton Dist, Bedford,VA. John McCabe died intestate in 1845.
