Jean Roth, her granddaughter,states that very little was known about her. She recalls her father James remarking something about a second marriage. Perhaps Jane was from a second marriage. Also, the maternal grandmother was unable to care for Jane's children when she died as there was another daughter and family living with her. There may have been some domestic trouble ?.
