                   HILDA ROUND was born in Christchurch on the 23rd September 1885 and was the eldest child. Her father is listed as an ironmonger on her baptisimal entry.  Like Evelyn, she was a choir member at St. Johns.  She went to high school at Sacred Heart in Ferry Road.  Auntie Hilda married Thomas Hamilton at St. Johns, Woolston, on the 30th April 1908.  They had two children; Arnold (Keith) and Evelyn (Joyce).  She died in Christchurch on the 22nd April 1968 and was cremated at the Linwood Crematorium.
