NAME: BOUCK aka BAUCH Christian Bauch was born in Germany. Emigrated from Rotterdam 27 Jul 1709 with wife Anna Dorothea (geb._______) and 3 children. Went to London. Left England Apr 1710 landed NYCity 14 Jun 1710 with Rev. Kocherthal and the rest of the Palentines. Spent summer on Nutten Island (now Governor's Island) in NY harbor before going to the tar camps in the Fall. Christian Bauch ended up at Haysbury one of the villages of East Camp, which is now Germantown, NY. Then it was part of Livingston Manor. East Camp - Hunterstown, Queensbury, Annsbury, Haysbury West Camp - Elizabethtown, Georgetown, New Town Christian Bauch of Haysbury was a soldier in 1711 (Palatine Volunteers to Canada - Rupp He was Number 20 on Governor Hunter's Subsistence List: 1710-11 He was in the first group to settle the Schoharie Children: Johann Christian b. in Germany m. Ottlia Becker d. 2 May 1768 Johann Friedrich b. in Germany m. Magdalena Ecker 14 Oct 1731 d. 20 Jul 1767 Anna Margarettha b. in Germany, but baptized 21 Aug 1710 in NYC. I have copy of certificate from West Camp Lutheran Church Johann Wilhelm b. 4 Jan 1712 first white boy born in Schoharie (Simms) m. Anna Elizabeth Krausler 9 Sep 1742 d. 23 Sep 1799 ? Johannes b. 7 Apr 1720 m. Elizabeth Bellinger 13 Feb 1744 d. 4 Sep 1784 Simmendinger had Christian with wife and 5 children in 1717 (thus the ? above) in Neu Stuttgart. Note: On 20 Oct 1714, George I, House of Hanover, ascended the throne of England thus ending the reign of the House of Stuart with the death of Queen Anne on 1 Aug 1714. According to Simms "History of Schoharie", Johann Wilhelm was first white boy born in Schoharie, and one of four children born in the first few weeks of settlement. The others were Lawyer, Schoolcraft, and Mattice. J. W. was grandfather of Governor Bouck. NAME: Bouck/Bauch

There is some doubt about this child, as to who. Simmendinger reported parents and 5 children in 1717. Johannes wasn't born by then. Other reports have it a boy. ???? NOTES: BAUCH aka BOUCK - also listed with surname of BROWN
