William Wallace MANTLO, DOCTOR

                   NOTES: February 2008 - Looking in Missouri death records I found James M's's burial place.
Topsy Cemetery is located in section 15 of Medicine Township in southeastern Mercer County. From
Princeton, go two miles south on highway 65 to blacktop E and turn left (east). Go east four miles to
blacktop C and turn right (south). Go south two miles to a gravel road. The cemetery can
be seen from the blacktop. Turn left (west) onto the gravel road. It will end at the cemetery. The cemetery
is well maintained.
James shares the same stone with Mae Mantlo.

Martha G 3 1/2 yrs all single and living at home.

In the 1910 census Nova is 29 yrs and is living in Bowman, Sullivan, Missouri with Hattie 21 yrs and Tariel
8 months.

Victor 7 yrs, Delores C 4 months.

NOTES: Nove L. Mantlo, son of Mr. And Mrs. William W. Mantlo was born in Sullivan Co., Missouri near Half Rock august 8th, 1876 and passed this life at the Smith-Graham Hospital in Kirksville, Mo., October 23, 1929. K Age 53 years 2 mo. and 15 days. October 25th 1908 he was married to Miss Hattie M. Chufiey. To this union were born three children.
His parents, three brothers, and four sisters preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Ferrel A., victor L. and Delorise Lorraine. His brothers and sisters living are James of Princeton, Thomas of Humphreys and Jeff of Galt and two sisters.
Mr. Mantlo was a barber by trade and had barber shops in several towns before locating in Humphreys, which he operated until his health failed, and his daughter, Ferrel, stepped in and is keeping the shop going.
Funeral was conducted from the M. E. Church at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. G. W. Ridley assisted by Rev. Adams of Humphreys and
interment was in the Humphreys cemetery.

NOTES: November 2011 - In the 1920 census Sam Mandalo age 41 is married to Carrie age 19.

Eva Okeomea born 9 May 1909, died 2 Jun 1909 dau of Wallace & Leo Mantlo.
Howard born 1910, died 1925 son of Wallace & Leo Mantlo.

NOTES: September 2008 - See Death Certificate in my Mantlo certificates file. It says his date of birth is 1881. Reason for
death, worry over financial matters and loss of son. He shot himself with a 22 gauge rifle, right side of
head.

Missouri as were his parents. This has to be the one I think is Homer.

North Evans Cemetery, Grundy County, MO
This cemetery is located in Franklin Township; S30-T63N-R23W. It is well kept, well-fenced, with stones in
reasonable condition. The cemetery was recorded in 1964 by Mr. & Mrs. V. Ralston and Mr. & Mrs. Max Chandler.

NOTES: March 2008 - Looking in 1910, 1920, 1930 Census, and I found the marriage license for Lee and Crattie Mantlo, and
World War I Draft Register Card, I have determined his dob is 26 Apr 1885. See Census and Marriage license
in my Mantlo Census file. I also added the children from the Census. Gay has a Frances R but I could not find
Frances R so I think this is Ruth.
